New Project: On The Same Day in March

Marilyn Singer wrote a children’s book “On The Same Day In March” that describes the weather and climate for countries around the world. I would like to give elementary classrooms an opportunity to compare the climate and weather in your area with others around the world. You can also add pictures and tell a little about your area.

Join us for a project based upon the book: On the Same Day in March by Marilyn Singer. Classrooms will compare weather with each other. This can be as simple as adding data to the page and writing about YOUR school or you can go a step further and pick out other activities to do.   Are you interested in joining the project?

The project is located at:, and you can contact me on Twitter – @chrisgrnbc.

  1. Would love to recommend this project to teachers! When I clicked on the link, I got a message that I don’t have permission to view and I didn’t see a place to request to join the wiki. Maybe there is a setting that needs to be changed? Can’t wait to learn more!

    • Thanks for the notice. I’m working on it. It wants you to have a wikispace account and use it to log in. I’m trying to see if there is a way that we can bypass that without leaving the site completely unprotected.

      • At Global Classroom we set our wikis to be “viewable by all, but editable only by wiki members”. It is pretty standard practice to request new members to join the wiki if they wish to join the project, and add their own pages. We understand the need to not make the wiki publicly editable! 🙂 Hope this helps
